Society for empowerment & Welfare Association (SEWA) is the only not-for-profit organisations with a mission to improve the
lives of underserved communities, women, child, and disadvantaged. We do this by supporting practical programmes, giving a
voice to these people, and influencing policy at local, and national levels.
The Society for Empowerment & Welfare Association was established in 1999 by the women and youths groups in India. The organization
now has more than 500 members and volunteers from the each and every section of the society, who are working to improve the
lives of these underserved and marginalized community.
SEWA is governed by a Executive board of trustees, which includes representatives of affiliate organisations.
SEWA has offices in Patna, Ranchi and Kishanganj,

dignified, healthy and secure lives.
Mission
SEWA is striving for the rights of disadvantaged people, women, child, youths to economic, social and physical security; healthcare,
education, and social services; and support in their care giving role across the generations.
